The Black Horse Inn is a beautiful hunt-country estate located less than one hour from Washington D.C. in Warrenton, the heart of Virginia’s finest horse country. The Inn has ample porches, landscaped grounds, boxwood gardens, and spectacular views. Retro Hospitality managed this property in 2020 and 2021 and assisted with closing the Inn and its event space, The Gilded Fox, so that the property could undergo a complete renovation. The reimagined Inn is scheduled to reopen in 2021.
Details
The Inn offers 10 distinct rooms, all with their own private baths, many with four-poster canopy beds, jacuzzi tubs, and fireplaces.
The main house was constructed in the 1850s and the additions were added in the early 1900s.
The Black Horse Inn is named after the Black Horse Cavalry which was conceived at a gathering of Warrenton lawyers in 1858.
With an indoor banquet space and beautifully crafted landscapes and patios, the Black Horse Inn is known as a popular wedding destination for locals and out of town visitors.
