QUIRK HOTEL -RICHMOND
An adaptive revitalization of a historic building, Quirk Hotel opened in September 2015 as a boutique hotel located in Downtown Richmond, Virginia. In 2016, Condé Nast ranked the Quirk as "One of the Top 60 Best New Hotels in the World" and recognized the Quirk as having “One of the Top 10 Rooftop Bars in the U.S.” in 2017. Retro Hospitality provided pre-opening consulting services for ownership in 2014 and served in an asset manager capacity. In 2022 Retro assumed full management of Quirk Richmond, bringing an art-forward and localized approach to the property.

Details
The Quirk Richmond building is of Italian Renaissance design, and it was once home to J.B Mosby department store, which dates back to 1916.
Architectural history is preserved throughout the building, such as the original ironwork staircase, 13 ft grand arches, and beautiful pine floors.
The hotel offers 73 art-centric rooms with 10 different room types. The beds are custom made from reclaimed wood and floor joists that were saved during demolition.
The on-site restaurant, The Lobby Bar, has become one of Richmond’s favorite spots for dinner, lunch and weekend breakfast. The property also includes the top-rated Q Rooftop Bar, and a chic, European-style Coffee Bar in the lobby.
The Quirk Art Gallery, found on the first floor, exhibits local and international artists as well as handmade jewelry and unique gifts to purchase.
